Designing and customizing your Altplace network.
A network creator can choose from a variety of templates as well as customize the chosen template by entering HTML. The creator also has the option to completely design and cutomize their own template. With an Altplace network you decide what your homepage will look like by choosing what applications go where.
Photos and video
The network creator or their network memebers can simply share and upload photos and video.
Privacy levals
The user can set the privacy levels for each of his pages on each network independently. It means that in order to set the privacy levels the user most be logged into the network he wants to manage. The different privacy levels are:
- Public profile – anyone can view the page of the user, pictures, send email and friends list
- Private Profile – only friends are able to view the pictures, friend lists and read the profile. People that are not friends cannot read anything on the profile only see the picture avatar and nick name of the user with an option to request to be a friend.
- Custom Privacy Profile – allows the user to set the areas that he wants to show to certain users set by the group of which the “friend” is located, on each module user can check mark the groups that he wants to give access to. For example user can set to show the blog only to co workers group and close friends, or allow only intimate friends to have access to the friends list etc. Each module can be set with different permissions. Your Alplace network can be customized with various applications including: Blogs, forums, groups, events, Favorits, RSS feeds, and Instant messenger. New applications will be loaded regularly and you will be notified once there available.
